Jumbangla Desk: Job student A student of Jagannath University (JUB) wants to sell one of his kidneys to raise money for the treatment of his father suffering from heart disease.
The student’s name is Fateh Ali Khan Akash. He is a student of music department of the university in 2015-16 academic year.
On Tuesday night, the student made a post on his Facebook account asking for help in selling the kidney. The post immediately went viral.
In that post, Fateh Ali Khan Akash wrote, Abbu’s heart block was caught. Oxygen meter is dropping to 35%. Urgent admission should be done.
The doctor says that a pacemaker should be installed as soon as possible. But at the moment I don’t have enough money to get a pacemaker.
So I want to sell one of my kidneys. Where are kidneys sold in Dhaka? I can survive with one kidney, I can save my father too.
Fateh Ali Khan Akash said, I am going to the hospital with my father now. Today (Wednesday) morning, I will admit my father to Hridrog Hospital in Sher-e-Bangla.
Dad’s treatment will begin there. The doctors are talking about installing a pacemaker in my father’s body, but at the moment I don’t have the money to install a pacemaker.
That’s why I posted on Facebook to sell kidneys. Even if I sell my kidney, I want to treat my father.

When asked if anyone contacted after this status, Akash said, university friends, younger brothers are all calling to inquire. However, no one has contacted the university administration yet.
Fateh Ali Khan gained popularity by going to the hospital during the corona virus and playing songs for the corona patients. He is also popular in the university campus for his music.
